WHUP Privacy Policy

WHUP collects the information needed to run player profiles, squads, matchmaking, results, reputation and safety systems.

Information we collect

Account details, email, display name, handle, gamer tags, platform, region, play style, squad membership, match activity, tournament entries, rules acceptance, age-eligibility confirmation, reports, disputes, result screenshots, evidence links and profile/timeline content. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, WHUP stores the verified provider account identifier and email needed to link that login to your WHUP account; provider passwords and access tokens are not stored.

How we use it

We use this information to create accounts, match players, run squads, show reputation, enforce rules, prevent abuse, improve WHUP and contact users about their activity.

Result screenshots and AI

If you choose the result-screen reader, WHUP privately stores the image as match evidence and sends it to an AI service to extract a draft score and game-specific team stats. The reporting captain must review the draft and the opposing captain must confirm it before records change. Match evidence is limited to participants, moderators and authorised service providers, and may be retained while a result or dispute must be audited.

Community visibility

Player profiles, squads, LFG posts, sessions, results and timeline posts may be visible to other WHUP users depending on feature settings.

Account deletion

Users can initiate account deletion inside the WHUP mobile app. Deletion removes the matching player profile and associated WHUP profile data unless WHUP must keep limited records for safety, legal or dispute reasons.
